Born on December 27, 1965 Salman Khan is the son of the legendary writer Salim Khan, who penned many super-hits in the yesteryear's like Sholay (1975), Deewaar (1975), and Don (1978). Salman started his acting carrier in 1988 by doing a supporting role in the movie Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988). Sallu plays a bigda hua (spoilt) son to parents roughly his own age. He lives among naughty uncles and subservient aunts. A girl (Asin) -- from a warring family of dons -- lands up at his house to somewhat seduce him, and warm up to his family. He's looking to marry a girl who's khurraat, kameeni and honhaar (a mix of good and bad). The girl's just right for him. He then slips into her Mafiosi household to set things right.

The pace picks up immediately after interval and the comedy turns interesting, engaging and entertaining. The whole track of Prem and Baliram fooling the two uncles of Sanjana is very funny and will be enjoyed by the audience. The track of Prem trying to bring two warring families together is heart-warming and strikes for its nobility and will be loved by the families.

Music is a major highlight of the film. ‘Character dheela’ (Pritam) and ‘Dhinka chika’ (Devi Shri Prasad) songs are super-hits and the picturisation of the latter song (two different picturisations at two different points in the film is a superb bonus) will have the audience going mad with joy. The other two songs (Pritam) are also good – the ‘Humko pyar hua’ is melodious and ‘Meri ada bhi’ has pace and energy. Song picturisations (Chinni Prakash and Raju Khan) are mass-appealing.

Mujhse Shaadi Karogi

Sameer (Salman Khan) who is an angry man since birth moves to Goa after a break with his ladylove (Amrita Arora). He promises to his grandmother not to fight any one again and his new job brings him to Goa as a lifeguard. He meets Rani (Priyanka Chopra) here and instantly falls in love with her. He lives opposite her home and tries a lot to woo her father (Amrish Puri) too. But every time he attempts to impress her father something or other goes wrong and upsets Rani's father. While things do not turn the Sameer way, another problem lands in the form of Sunny (Akshay Kumar) who is not only Sameer's room partner but is also in love with Rani. Each of the two boys tries to outdo the other and win the heart of Rani. But things do not go the way Sameer had thought and finally he decides to leave the place forever.

he story kicks off in rural India with brothers Karan (Salman) and Arjun (Shahrukh) and their loving mother Durga (Rakhee) living a content life as a happy family with a missing father. But soon it is revealed that the brothers are the only grandsons of the rich Thakur who, under the influence of his evil nephew Dhurjan Singh (Amrish Puri), had disowned his son for marrying the poor Durga.
The old man on his deathbed is repentant. Durga tells her sons that the evil Dhurjan killed their father, and heads off to meet their dying granddad. Dhurjan spoils the happy reunion - he murders the Thakur and, with the help of his brothers, brutally kills Karan and Arjun. Disillusioned and angry, Durga invokes the might of the Goddess Kali and pleads for the reincarnation of her sons.

Twenty-five years pass by and Durga's prayers are answered. Karan is reborn as Ajay, a professional street fighter with paramour Mamta Kulkarni, and Arjun is Vijay, an able stable hand in love with Kajol. Kajol happens to be betrothed to Dhurjan's son, and when she is forcefully taken away to Dhurjan's village, Vijay follows with friend Lingaiah (Johnny Lever).

On arrival, everything seems familiar, and eventually he meets Durga and his memories come back. He finds Ajay, and after a bit of convincing, his memory is refreshed too, and the stage is set for the final confrontation.

Like we said before, there is nothing new, but the controlled performances from Shahrukh, Salman, Shahrukh, and Rakhee, and a great music score, made Karan Arjun the hit

Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, the biggest hit of 1994 and the 52 week runner, was one of the best movies of 1994. During the time that this movie was released, many movies has a plot filled with violence. This movie changed it all. Since then we have had movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Akele Hum Akele Tum which have continued the trend towards non-violent love storieS

The typical love story occurs between Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha (Madhuri Dixit). During Prem's brother's and Nisha's sister's marriage they slowly fall in love. The careful and delicate direction of every moment of their falling in love (and the great songs, of course) takes care of the first half of the movie. The second half is boring in places, but is still excellent in direction.

After Pooja, Nisha's sister dies, Nisha is to wed Prem's brother, Rajesh, because their child feels similarly with Nisha as with Pooja . At their wedding ceremony, Rajesh finds a note that Nisha sends to Prem through a dog (remember the pigeonin Maine Pyar Kiya?) and tells Prem to marry Nisha. And that is the story. No bloodshed, no violence, no gory, no lafra, no nada! Just a simple, well directed entertaining story with excellent songs by Ram LaxAMAN

BAAGHI -A rebel for love

The movie story revolves around Naghma who’s kidnapped and sold to a brothel house to become
a prostitute. Salman Khan, who had seen her earlier, come to the place and sees her. From
then he usualy, comes there to meet her and soon they fall in love. He and his friends then

try to rescue her from her horrible situation and fall into many troubles.

When Saajan is finally able to introduce Kaajal to his parents, they - not surprisingly - reject the idea of his marrying a girl from a brothel, even if she was taken there against her will and is actually from a respectable family. Since Saajan's father, Col. Sood, was already angry with his son for refusing to follow family tradition and join the Indian army, this is the last straw, and Saajan is kicked out of his house. He becomes, in his own words,

A rebel - a word which is repeated several times in the movie. Since Kaajal is already rebelling against Jaggu because she believes in love, they are now both "rebels for love."

With the help of Saajan's college friends, they help Kaajal escape Jaggu's brothel and flee Bombay to Ooty, near where her grandparents live. But just as they are about to be married with Kaajal's grandparents' consent, if not Saajan's father's, police arrive take them back to Bombay, where they claim he's wanted for kidnapping "Paro".

But Saajan's father, upon hearing of his son's heroics in fighting Dhanraj's men to rescue Kaajal, suddenly has a new-found respect for his son, who had previously been a lazy drifter.

With the help of Saajan's three friends, Col. Sood finds his son outside Jaggu's brothel, where the "police" (who are actually working for Dhanraj) have returned Saajan and Kaajal to

Dhanraj, who is preparing to punish them both for her leaving the brothel. The intervention of Leelabai on Kaajal's behalf leads to yet another fight, with several people switching alliances.

MPK is one movie that refreshes mind and soul and heart everytime The songs too are melodious and give richness to the movie.
This movie has many witty and romantic one-liner and it is good to see the painstaking ideas put beautifully. This is one such movie which does not grow old with times.

The storyline was not much but the way it was presented is commentable. The film begins with Suman (Bhagyashree) teaching nursery rhymes to kids and his father Alok Nath. She punishes her father for coming late to her class and later bursts into tears. Then starts the regular bollywood's 'baap-beti' drama. While being nursed, he reveals his plans of going to Dubai to earn money for Suman 'bitiya's shaadi'. He tells her about his college friend (Rajiv Verma) and his wife (Reema Lagoo). The flash back shows undying love of the two friends.

Alok Nath takes her to Rajiv Verma's place who has become a business tycoon now. Suman starts staying with them and then enters Prem (Salman Khan), the U S of A returned son of Rajiv Verma and Reema Lagoo. Suman and Prem happen to clash with each other in a loo and from there their 'friendship' starts. The friendship takes a love angle when Suman and Prem attend a party thrown by Seema (Parveen Dastur), a family friend. There Suman, trying to save a pigeon (which is to become a pivotal part of the movie), becomes the target of Jeevan (Mohnish Behl). Prem is already head-over-heels in love with Suman and the incident leaves even Suman breathless.

Their love life goes of smoothly with the help of Manohar 'bhaiya' (Laxmikant Berde). Seema tries to woo Prem who is unbudged and Jeevan has his eyes set on Suman. There's not a worry in the world till they celebrate Suman's birthday on the terrace and papa comes to know of his son's affairs. Ranjeet (Ajit Vachani), papa's business partner, helps in rubbing salt on the wound. Papa insults Suman and his best buddy (who has flown back right the day of celebrations), and from here the story takes a bollywood ishtyle twist.

Alok Nath takes back Suman home and the daughter sulks till Prem acts as a rescuer. But Alok Nath keeps the proposal of earning Rs 2000 as Prem has left his dad's riches and has no home and money. Thus starts the usual drama when Prem works as a truck driver and hardcore mazdoor and God only knows what. At the end of the month, while Prem is ready with the required money and comes to win the heart of his lady's father, Jeevan with a bunch of his hoodlum friends appears and spoils everything. Prem, presumably dead after he goes off a cascading waterfall, comes and gives the torn notes. This has to melt Alok Nath's heart and all goes well, till Ranjit starts a fight. This brings the old pals together and also the young lovers
